Announcing the 12 Charity Beneficiaries of the Compass Community Giving Fund

We are pleased to announce the 12 remarkable charity beneficiaries of the Community Giving Fund for 2019. These organizations are devoted to helping those in our Southern California community, and we are proud to be a part of their vital efforts. Starting this year, every dollar donated to the Community Giving Fund via agent transactions will be matched by Compass Cares.

Kidney for Kari – Polycystic Kidney Foundation

Kidney for Kari seeks to raise awareness for kidney donation and find a living donor for Compass agent Kari Carson.

UCLA Neuro-Oncology

UCLA is home to one of the world’s leading centers for brain-tumor research, diagnosis, and treatment. From neurosurgeons to imaging physicists, the team includes some of the best and brightest minds in the field.

Inner City Youth Orchestra of Los Angeles

Founded in 2009, ICYOLA is a California 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that transforms the lives and minds of young people in inner-city Los Angeles through high-quality music education. It teaches inne- city youth the great music of the world and provides opportunities for them to perform that music in the most magnificent settings of our community.

CASA

CASA of Los Angeles improves the lives of children in the dependency system by pairing them with trained volunteer advocates.

Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA) will be investing $100 million to make a transformational impact by helping families, revitalizing neighborhoods across Los Angeles, and creating more access to affordable housing. 

Boys and Girls Club

Since 1944, BGCSM has given kids and teens what they need to succeed, providing a safe and nurturing environment to develop socially, succeed in school, stay physically active, and prepare for positive futures.

Treasure Little Children

Treasure Little Children Foundation is a nonprofit organization that was established in 1998 by a group of volunteers dedicated to enriching the lives of those in need by providing educational assistance and classroom renovation.

Ahead With Horses

Ahead With Horses has an over 50-year history of providing unique, highly motivating, and effective therapy, education, and recreation through horses and related experiences to disabled/disadvantaged/at-risk/special-needs children and has earned recognition educationally, medically, and scientifically. 

MS Society

The National MS Society envisions a world free of multiple sclerosis. It’s mission is for people affected by MS to live their best lives, as we stop MS in its tracks, restore what has been lost, and end the disease forever.

Pasadena Humane Society

The Pasadena Humane Society & SPCA is a donor-supported, nonprofit organization that provides animal care and services for homeless and owned animals in the Greater Los Angeles Area. The organization is dedicated to promoting humane treatment and compassion and care for all animals.

Imagine LA

Imagine LA has been interrupting the cycle of family homelessness, poverty and neglect in Los Angeles since 2008. It recruits teams of volunteer mentors, professionally training and guiding them to assist vulnerable families over 12 to 18 months, ending their cycle of homelessness. 

Pasadena Ronald McDonald House

Since opening in 2004, the Pasadena Ronald McDonald House has provided comfort, care, and support to children and families in Southern California. Our hope is to create a community where children and their families embrace life and healing with a sense of hope, enthusiasm, courage, and joy by keeping families close to each other and the care they need.
