April 22: Buying for Beginners Seminar
Join us April 22nd for a free seminar for first time homebuyers in Southern California.
BUYING FOR BEGINNERS: THE ESSENTIAL GUIDE FOR BUILDING WEALTH THROUGH REAL ESTATE
The segment will cover the home ownership process from start to finish and ensure viewers have the tools they need to make informed real estate decisions. Led by Compass professionals Melitta Johnson, Stevie Rangel, and Ashley Garner.
“Growing up, I believed that owning a home was reserved for the wealthy and fortunate,” Alexis Stewart, Compass California Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Program Manager, said. “My parents never owned a home and the idea was foreign to me – something that could be out of my reach forever.”
“This isn’t an uncommon thought in our communities. When we talk about equity and making reparations to our underrepresented communities, especially our Black community, we need to ensure that we provide our younger generation with resources and tools, and most importantly, support, when it comes to purchasing homes and building wealth through property,” Stewart said.
“The Essential Guide to Building Wealth Series” was created and initially launched in New York by Jodie Taylor, Compass Head of Diversity,” Stewart said. “Our team is making sure this series, and more like it, is brought to all of our regions to reach communities nationwide.”
The seminar was held in Northern California on April 8th, led by Compass real estate professionals Nicole Wilhelm and Tiyanna Long.
“I thought it was fantastic,” Jennifer K, who attended the NorCal seminar said. “Very useful information for people trying to figure out how to buy property. It’s difficult for anyone to know what resources are available.”
