Four Compass agents are quoted discussing the recent resurgence of international buyers given the U.S. decision to lift travel restrictions for vaccinated foreign travelers.
Compass New York broker Charlie Attias discusses his action plan for the wave of buyers he’s anticipating. Hala Adra, broker out of Compass D.C., shares, “For me, Nov. 8 is [just] a date. We’re still going to see a delay of international people coming physically here, unless they’re here on a student visa, or it’s facilitated by the international organization they work for here. If they’re coming on their own, the schedule for the appointment at their local embassy is delayed.”
Compass Los Angeles’ founding agent, Ari Afshar of Voyage Real Estate is quoted discussing the differences between Los Angeles and other major markets like New York and Miami. “I think it’ll be a wait and see,” he said. Top Los Angeles Compass broker Carl Gambino, who recently expanded his team to Miami, says he expects international buyers will start to swarm L.A.’s ultra-luxury market this month.
