The art of the high-rise: 181 Fremont’s exhibition
Located over 580 feet in the sky, 181 Fremont’s newly launched listing Residence 62B features incredible views of San Francisco. And as if it needed even more eye candy, the fully furnished residence from designer Aubrey Maxwell will house Podium II, the latest in 181 Fremont’s series of art exhibitions.
Curated by 181 Fremont’s Art Advisor Holly Baxter & Associates, Podium II includes the powerful artworks of 14 internationally-celebrated women artists. Each artist brings layered, complex histories and narratives to their works including histories of Black women, female identity, queer identity, histories of family, of Africa and the African diaspora, of Caribbean culture, political history and the history of art.
The exhibition includes works by Adama Delphine Fawundu, April Bey, Delita Martin, Erica Deeman, Janna Ireland, Lalla Essaydi, Lanise Howard, Ming Smith, Monica Hernandez, Nnenna Okore, Philemona Williamson, Sadie Barnette, Sydney Cain, and Toni Scott.
Podium II is open to the public by appointment, for homebuyers and art lovers alike, until July 31, 2021.
